About the role

We are looking for a Group Head of Credit Risk to lead and develop the credit risk management framework across the Group.

In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring that credit risks are identified, assessed, managed, and monitored in alignment with the company’s strategic objectives and regulatory requirements. You will work closely with senior stakeholders and play a key role in shaping risk strategies across multiple markets.

What you’ll do

• Conduct regular and detailed credit risk assessments and develop strategies to mitigate identified risks.

• Develop and improve decision engine logic and system parameters for customer acceptance and credit limit calculations.

• Oversee the credit approval process and ensure adherence to internal policies and regulatory requirements.

• Monitor and analyse the credit risk within the company’s portfolio.

• Lead the development and implementation of effective reporting solutions for credit risk management.

• Ensure compliance with all relevant credit risk regulations and internal policies.

• Present credit risk strategies, insights, and findings to senior management and Risk Committee members.

• Provide training and guidance to teams on credit risk management practices and policies.

What we expect from you

• At least 5 years of experience in credit risk management, including at least 2 years in a managerial role.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

• Strong understanding of credit risk regulations and industry standards.

• Ability to align credit risk strategies with business objectives.

• Proven leadership skills with the ability to inspire and manage teams.

• Strong decision-making skills and ability to operate under pressure.

• Excellent communication and presentation skills.

• Ability to collaborate effectively across different levels of the organisation.

• Experience working with credit risk tools and systems.

• Fluent English, both spoken and written.

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business, Economics, or a related field.

Nice to have

• Master’s degree or professional certification such as CFA or FRM.

• Experience working in fintech, banking, or lending environments.
