About the role

We are looking for an Operations Engineer to join Iute Group and work closely with our Engineering and Business teams.

In this role, your main focus will be supporting the daily operations of our systems and helping internal users resolve questions and technical issues quickly and effectively. You will play an important role in ensuring that our platforms run smoothly and that teams across the company can rely on stable and well-performing systems.

This position is based at our headquarters in Tallinn.

What you’ll do

• Act as the first line of support for internal users and assist with questions related to systems and products, ensuring they understand the platform’s functionality.

• Track and prioritise user interactions in order to resolve urgent operational issues.

• Monitor systems and troubleshoot technical problems, including performing root cause analysis.

• Identify opportunities to improve systems and contribute to making them more scalable, faster, and secure.

• Collaborate closely with Business and Engineering teams to resolve user issues and operational challenges.

• Contribute to a culture of cooperation and knowledge sharing across teams.

What we expect from you

• Demonstrated interest in a technical field.

• Technical background in relational databases, monitoring systems, and centralised logging.

• Ability to investigate web application issues in the browser using developer tools.

• Basic knowledge of REST API principles.

• Familiarity with tools such as SQL, Jira, and Confluence.

• Proactive attitude and passion for problem-solving.

• Strong communication skills in English, both written and spoken.

• Organised, detail-oriented, and able to learn quickly.

• Willingness to work in shifts and participate in on-call rotations.

• Residence in Estonia and or a valid work permit.

Bonus qualifications include education in Computer Science, basic programming skills, experience in IT support or related roles, and familiarity with monitoring tools such as Grafana or Kibana.

Our technology stack includes Jira, Confluence, SQL, Jenkins, Bitbucket, Kibana, Grafana, Swagger, and Postman.
