We operate in Albania, Moldova, North Macedonia, and Bulgaria, offering consumer finance, payments, banking, and insurance services. About the role

We are looking for a Senior Software Engineer (Insurance) to join us at an early stage of a strategically important initiative. In this role, you will help design and build core insurance systems from the ground up, working hands-on across backend and frontend, and collaborating closely with product and insurance domain experts.

You will take ownership of features, contribute to technical discussions, and help shape how we build software as the team grows. This is an opportunity to work on greenfield insurance technology and scale Estonian-built innovation into solutions for international markets.

What you’ll do

• Build and maintain backend services using Java and Spring Boot.

• Ship modern Vue.js user interfaces that turn product ideas into fast and clean customer experiences.

• Work with scalable systems, databases, and microservice-based architectures.

• Collaborate with engineers, product managers, and stakeholders across teams.

• Participate in Agile development processes and contribute to continuous improvement.

• Take ownership of your work and deliver features independently from idea to production.

What we expect from you

• Strong experience in backend development with Java and Spring Boot.

• Strong experience shipping modern Vue.js UIs.

• Knowledge of scalable systems, databases, and microservice architecture.

• Familiarity with cloud platforms, containerisation, and orchestration.

• Background in fintech or insurance is a plus.

• Strong communication skills and ability to explain complex technical concepts clearly.

• A proactive mindset, strong ownership, and ability to work independently.

• Comfort working in Agile teams and collaborating with stakeholders.

• Curiosity for the business side and motivation to deliver real impact.

• Fluency in English, both spoken and written.

Hiring process

We start with a short screening call. Next, you will have a 30-minute online meeting with the hiring manager. As a following step, you will be invited to an on-site team interview combined with a technical discussion, lasting approximately 1.5 hours.
